Full-Time About Woodland Manor Woodland Manor provides compassionate, resident-centered care in a skilled nursing setting. We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our leadership team as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). Position Summary The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) works closely with the Director of Nursing to oversee the daily operations of the Nursing Services Department. This leadership role helps ensure the delivery of high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and clinical excellence throughout the facility. Candidates must be willing to obtain Infection Preventionist (IP) certification/training. Key Responsibilities Assist the Director of Nursing in directing and overseeing the daily operations of the Nursing Services Department Conduct nursing rounds to monitor resident care and ensure accurate documentation of treatments, medications, and resident conditions Communicate with physicians regarding resident care and participate in resident and family meetings as needed Support the Resident Assessment/Care Plan Coordinator with MDS planning, scheduling, and care plan implementation Mentor, coach, and supervise nursing staff while promoting a positive, team-oriented work environment Assist with staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and employee development Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives Assist with survey preparation and maintain survey readiness Qualifications Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Indiana is required Must be willing to obtain Infection Preventionist (IP) certification/training Minimum of one (1) year of nursing supervisory or leadership experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred Experience as an ADON, Unit Manager, or DON is a plus Current BLS certification preferred Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Compassion for the geriatric population and commitment to quality resident care Skills & Abilities Strong leadership and team-building abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Ability to perform the physical requirements of nursing, including assisting residents when necessary Why Woodland Manor?
