Job Description

Assistant Director of Nursing / Infection Preventionist / RN (ADON/IP)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated RN (Registered Nurse) for the role of Assistant Director of Nursing / Infection Preventionist (ADON/IP) to join our team at Overland Park Respiratory & Rehab Center. As a key member of our leadership team, you will collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain a high level of clinical excellence and ensure the overall well-being of our patients. Responsibilities:
Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing the daily operations of our facility, ensuring that all nursing staff are providing high-quality patient care Lead Infection Prevention initiatives, developing and implementing strategies (including education) to prevent and control the spread of infections Conduct routine surveillance and monitoring of patient populations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based practices Collaborate with other departments, including quality improvement, education, and administration, to ensure seamless integration of infection prevention initiatives Maintain regulatory compliance, ensuring that our facility meets or exceeds all relevant accreditation and regulatory standards
Requirements:
Active RN license Experience in an Infection Prevention role is preferred and a willingness to obtain specialized training and certification Skilled in tracheostomy and ventilator care; or willingness to learn Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams
