Director of Nursing (DON) - Registered Nurse We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and oversee the nursing department. Position Responsibilities Provide leadership and direction to the nursing department. Oversee daily nursing operations and ensure delivery of high-quality patient/resident care. Manage, mentor, and support nursing staff to promote a positive clinical environment. Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations and long-term care standards. Assist with staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and operational planning. Monitor clinical performance, quality measures, and resident care outcomes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve care delivery. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Current Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license or valid Nurse Compact License . Previous leadership experience in nursing, preferably within a long-term care or skilled nursing setting. Knowledge of state and local regulations related to long-term care. Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, staffing, and scheduling processes. Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with computers, internet systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
