Interim Director of Nursing Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Interim Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team during a transitional period. This contract role requires a dynamic professional with extensive experience in nursing administration, skilled in managing clinical staff in a long-term care, skilled nursing facility. Massachusetts Responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership and oversight of nursing operations across all departments, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies. Supervise and mentor nursing staff, fostering a positive environment that promotes professional growth and high-quality resident care. Develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual residents' needs, incorporating best practices in physiology and anatomy knowledge. Oversee the management of medical records, documentation review, and adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect resident privacy. Coordinate shift management to ensure adequate staffing levels while maintaining optimal resident-to-staff ratios for safety and quality assurance. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems efficiently for accurate documentation and reporting. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with Medicare requirements, MDS assessments, and care standards for diverse healthcare services including hospice and home health.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school. Registered Nurse (RN) with a current MA license in good standing, required. Hold a current CPR certification & ICP certification At least five years' experience in long-term care setting, with 3-5 years as Director of Nursing. Strong knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long term care. Strong communication skills. Proficient computer skills including Point Click Care. The position is a 1099 Independent Contractor role. If travel is required, some expenses will be reimburseable or included with rate.
