Director of Nursing (DON) -
Framingham, Massachusetts Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to join our team at Oak Knoll Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Framingham, Massachusetts. As the DON, you will be responsible for the overall provision of optimal achievable quality of nursing care for all residents. Responsibilities:
Coordinates the delivery of all nursing services, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and maintaining high-quality care standards Acts as a liaison between the Administrator and nursing services, communicating effectively to ensure seamless operations Reviews state inspection reports and implements plans of correction to maintain a quality care environment Updates and reviews nursing policies and procedures, ensuring continued quality of care and maintaining accreditation standards Maintains professional contacts within the local community, representing the facility during interactions and communication with residents and their families Assists the Administrator in the overall planning of the facility's goals and objectives, and assumes responsibilities in their absence Ensures that nursing requirements for licensure and accreditation are maintained, documenting professional licenses and calculating staffing levels for nursing services Coordinates nursing services department activities with those of other facility departments, interprets Nursing Policies and Procedures, and ensures implementation Interviews, selects, and appoints nursing services personnel, conducts annual evaluations, and documents disciplinary concerns
Requirements:
Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the State of Massachusetts Minimum of three years additional education or experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing, and one year of nursing services administration CPR certified Ability to read, write, and comprehend English, and ability to follow oral and written instructions Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills Fluency in Microsoft Office and other office equipment Ability to work hours as scheduled, based on the requirements of the position assignment Ability to move intermittently throughout the day, with proper body mechanics required Ability to see and hear, or use prosthetics/equipment that will enable these senses to function adequately Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
