This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all nursing operations, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and resident-centered care. Responsibilities Direct, supervise, and evaluate all nursing services within the facility. Ensure quality resident care and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs. Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and best practices. Monitor clinical outcomes and quality measures to drive continuous improvement. Manage staffing, scheduling, and nursing department budgets. Oversee infection prevention, medication management, and clinical programs. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, department leaders, residents, and families to ensure coordinated care. Prepare for and participate in state surveys and inspections. Promote a positive work environment focused on resident satisfaction and employee engagement. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Minimum of 3 years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting. Strong knowledge of state and federal nursing home regulations. Proven leadership, communication, and team-building skills. Experience with quality assurance, care planning, and survey readiness. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to providing exceptional resident-centered care.
