The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced, dedicated Assistant Director to provide clinical leadership and operational oversight for our organization. Partnering closely with the Program Director, you will be the driving force behind our clinical excellence, ensuring full compliance with MassHealth regulations while mentoring an extraordinary, multidisciplinary team of nurses and care managers. This is not just an administrative role—it is a pivotal leadership position where your clinical expertise directly impacts the safety, dignity, and quality of life for the vulnerable populations we serve. Key Areas of Impact1.
Clinical & Operational Leadership Team Mentorship:
Supervise, coach, and inspire our Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), including nursing staff, care managers, and support personnel.
Program Direction:
Assist the Program Director in managing day-to-day operations and serve as the acting director when needed.
Workforce Development:
Oversee staff onboarding, clinical training, and performance management to maintain a high-retention, high-capability team. 2.
Serve as the internal expert on MassHealth regulations, ensuring 100% compliance across all
AFC/GAFC
programs.
Audit Readiness:
Lead internal audits and champion preparation efforts for state inspections and reviews.
Continuous Improvement:
Analyze clinical outcomes, tracking incident trends to implement proactive, corrective action plans that elevate care quality. 3.
Clinical Continuity & Care Coordination Intake & Transitions:
Oversee pre-admission clinical assessments, admission decisions, and complex discharge planning.
Collaborative Network:
Build and maintain strong relationships with primary care physicians (PCPs), VNAs, DDS, DMH, and family caregivers to ensure seamlessly integrated care. What You Bring to the
Team Credentials:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or a healthcare-related field is required (Master's degree preferred).
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years working closely with elderly or disabled populations, with at least 2 years in a clinical leadership or supervisory capacity.
Expertise:
Strong familiarity with Adult Foster Care (AFC) and MassHealth program guidelines.
Core Traits:
A collaborative spirit, excellent decision-making skills, clinical authority, and a passion for coaching interdisciplinary teams.
Logistics:
