Director of Nursing (DON) -
Full-Time Opportunity Job Summary:
The Frostburg Rehab Center is seeking a talented and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our Nursing Service Department. As a key member of our leadership team, the DON will plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current Federal, State, and Local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Lead daily operations for the nursing department and nursing services Act as a liaison between the Administrator and nursing services administration Develop, maintain, review, and implement written nursing policies and procedures that govern day-to-day functions Make regular rounds to assure optimal quality of care is provided Interview, select, hire, and on-board new nursing staff Supervise, train, and evaluate nursing staff Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility information Demonstrates respect of resident rights and dignity Provide direct patient care when necessary Investigate resident complaints Collaborate with doctors and executives on resident care, communicating any issues Design and manage continuous quality improvement initiatives Observe all required infection prevention and control policies and procedures Observe safety policies and report any safety concerns Ensure that all guidelines, regulations, and standards are followed Why Work for Us? Valid/active registered nursing license in the State of Maryland Nursing Home experience, minimum of 1 year.
