Important:

This role requires direct Assisted Living clinical leadership experience. Candidates without hands-on AL experience will not be considered.

Full time/Days Reports to: Assisted Living Administrator Position Summary The Director of Nursing serves as the clinical leader for our Assisted Living community, responsible for overseeing all nursing services, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving excellence in resident care. This role partners closely with leadership, families, and providers to support resident well-being while fostering a strong, accountable care team. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all clinical operations within the Assisted Living setting Supervise, mentor, and develop nursing staff; conduct performance evaluations Ensure compliance with all state regulations specific to Assisted Living Complete resident assessments and oversee individualized service plans Monitor resident conditions and coordinate care with physicians and providers Oversee medication management, infection control, and clinical protocols Maintain accurate and compliant documentation (PCC experience preferred) Drive quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives Address resident and family concerns with professionalism and urgency Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (life enrichment, dining, etc.) Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment Qualifications Active RN or LPN license (State of Michigan)

REQUIRED

Proven leadership experience in an Assisted Living setting (e.g., AL DON, Wellness Director, or similar role) Strong working knowledge of Assisted Living regulations and compliance standards Experience in geriatric care and team leadership Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills CPR/BLS certification required Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) strongly preferred BSN preferred Why Join Us?
