A Director of Nursing manages and supervises all nursing staff at a hospital or long term care facility. Manages communications with physicians, manages budgets and expenses, and assists other administrators with managing operations. Monitors staff schedules and the quality of nursing care at the facility. Maintains professional license or certification requirements.
Full-Time, On-Site Key Responsibilities Oversee daily nursing operations and clinical services. Lead, mentor, and develop approximately 60 nursing team members. Ensure high-quality, person-centered resident care. Oversee nursing services across skilled nursing and assisted living-level care. Monitor quality, safety, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance. Support staffing, scheduling, and resource management. Collaborate with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Provide coaching, performance feedback, and staff development. Monitor resident assessments, care planning, medication management, and clinical documentation. Maintain compliance with applicable state and federal long-term care regulations. Promote a culture of accountability, respect, dignity, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Current, unrestricted Missouri RN license. Strong nursing leadership and clinical management experience. Long-term care/SNF experience strongly preferred. DON experience preferred; experienced ADON, Assistant DON, Nurse Manager, or similar nursing leader may be considered. Knowledge of infection prevention, quality assurance, staffing, and regulatory requirements. Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with EHR systems and long-term care documentation. Strong ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
