Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing Services to lead our nursing team and ensure the delivery of exceptional resident care across our healthcare facilities. As a key leader, you will oversee clinical operations, manage nursing staff, and uphold the highest standards of compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA and Medicare guidelines. Duties Provide visionary leadership to the nursing department, setting clear goals aligned with organizational mission and resident-centered care principles. Oversee daily clinical operations, ensuring seamless shift management and optimal staffing levels to meet resident needs. Supervise nurse management staff, fostering professional development and ensuring effective team collaboration. Develop, review, and update comprehensive care plans tailored to each resident's unique physiology, anatomy, and medical history. Ensure accurate documentation review of medical records, care documentation, and compliance with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems. Monitor adherence to healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, Medicare requirements, and state licensing standards. Oversee the management of MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments to support quality reporting and reimbursement processes. Lead efforts in staff training on medical terminology, documentation procedures, shift management, and safety protocols. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance care delivery for residents' (personal needs), ensuring dignity and respect in all interactions. Maintain oversight of medical records accuracy, confidentiality standards, and documentation review processes to ensure compliance with legal requirements. Experience Proven experience in nursing home administration or senior care management with demonstrated success in leadership roles within assisted living or long-term care settings. Extensive background in nursing services including home health, hospice care, acute care environments, or similar healthcare settings. Strong supervisory experience managing multidisciplinary teams of nurses and healthcare professionals. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation management and clinical data tracking. In-depth knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to elderly or chronically ill populations to inform effective care planning. Experience with Medicare regulations, reimbursement processes, and compliance standards such as HIPAA is essential. Demonstrated ability to lead quality improvement initiatives focused on resident safety, satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.
