Oversee day-to-day nursing operations and ensure quality resident care. Promote a culture focused on compassion, accountability, teamwork, and clinical excellence . Monitor resident care plans, clinical outcomes, and quality indicators. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and facility regulations. Assist with staffing, scheduling, and maintaining appropriate nursing coverage. Support employee development, training, orientation, and performance management. Collaborate with physicians, residents, families, administrators, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. Monitor infection prevention and control practices. Participate in surveys, audits, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives. Address clinical concerns promptly and effectively. Help identify opportunities to improve resident outcomes and the overall quality of care. Serve as a strong advocate for residents while supporting and developing the nursing staff. On-Call Expectations This position requires a flexible leadership schedule and participation in an on-call rotation. On-call rotation runs Monday at 8:00 AM through Friday at 3:00 PM . A designated on-call nurse is scheduled for weekends; however, the DON must remain available for emergencies when needed . The ideal candidate is someone who understands the importance of leadership availability while maintaining a strong, collaborative clinical team. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Current, unrestricted RN license, Minimum of 1 year of Nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). Strong understanding of skilled nursing clinical operations and regulatory requirements. Demonstrated leadership and staff-management experience. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to make sound clinical and operational decisions in a fast-paced environment. Strong commitment to resident-centered care.
