Job Description

Director of Nursing - Psychiatric Residential Treatment A long-standing, mission-driven nonprofit residential treatment program in Jackson, MS is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead nursing operations for its Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility, providing trauma-informed care to children and adolescents with complex behavioral health needs. As Director of Nursing, you'll provide strategic and operational leadership for all nursing services while ensuring exceptional clinical care, regulatory compliance, and staff development. You'll lead a multidisciplinary nursing team and partner with medical, psychiatric, and clinical leaders to deliver safe, trauma-informed, evidence-based care. Key Responsibilities Lead all nursing operations for an 80-bed PRTF Supervise, mentor, and develop nursing staff across a 24/7 operation Ensure compliance with state, federal, Medicaid, and accreditation standards Oversee medication management, infection control, quality improvement, and risk management Manage staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and payroll Collaborate with physicians, psychiatric providers, and interdisciplinary treatment teams Drive performance improvement initiatives and regulatory readiness Qualifications Active Mississippi Registered Nurse (RN) license BSN required Minimum 5-7 years of progressive nursing experience At least 3 years of leadership experience Experience in pediatric, behavioral health, psychiatric, or residential treatment settings strongly preferred What the Employer Offers Competitive compensation 403(b) retirement plan with employer match Medical, dental, and vision insurance Generous PTO Employee wellness and counseling programs Mission-driven culture dedicated to helping Mississippi children and families thrive For immediate consideration, please apply on-line or email your resume to Cheryl@psychpros.com IND123
