Job Description

If you are a NC Licensed RN with strong skilled nursing leadership experience and the grit, judgment, and heart to lead the clinical team in our beautiful revived facility in Salisbury, NC...we'd love to chat. This role is for someone who can lead the clinical team from the front, raise the standard of care, build trust with staff and families, and create a culture where accountability, compassion, and excellence all live in the same building. The Director of Nursing will be responsible for the overall clinical operations of the facility, but more importantly, for building a nursing team that protects residents, supports one another, communicates well, and takes pride in the care they provide. The right candidate will understand that this role is not just about staffing schedules, audits, and survey preparedness. It is about clinical leadership, critical thinking, follow-through, and setting the tone for what great care looks like every single day. What You Will Do The Director of Nursing serves as the clinical leader of the facility and is responsible for: Leading the day-to-day clinical operations of the center in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Creating a culture of accountability, teamwork, clinical excellence, and resident-centered care Hiring, coaching, developing, and holding nursing leaders and frontline staff accountable Driving quality outcomes, survey readiness, infection prevention, and strong clinical systems Partnering with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to ensure operational and clinical success Monitoring resident care, clinical documentation, incidents, infection control, weights, wounds, falls, medications, and changes in condition Ensuring appropriate staffing, clinical oversight, and follow-up on identified concerns Responding to problems directly, professionally, and quickly Building trust with residents, families, physicians, providers, and team members Setting the standard for urgency, professionalism, consistency, and compassion in the nursing department Our Core Values At The Overlook at Rowan, our leaders must live our core values every day: Grit with Grace We do hard things without losing our heart. Must Haves Current North Carolina RN license, in good standing Previous successful Director of Nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility Strong working knowledge of state and federal regulations, survey process, infection control, staffing, and quality measures Proven ability to lead clinical teams, drive accountability, and improve performance Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills Strong communication skills with the ability to lead tough conversations clearly and professionally Ability to balance accountability with support and strong team development High level of ownership, urgency, and follow-through Commitment to resident dignity, quality care, employee engagement, and clinical excellence #OLR
