Director of Nursing (DON) Complete Care at Willow Creek | Somerset, NJ Complete Care at Willow Creek is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the clinical operations of our skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, and specialized Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) programs in Somerset, New Jersey. This is a unique opportunity for a proven long-term care nursing leader to play an instrumental role in the future of a center preparing for its next chapter. We are seeking a hands-on clinical executive who can build strong teams, establish a culture of accountability and excellence, and drive exceptional outcomes across skilled nursing, post-acute rehabilitation, and specialty care services. Key Responsibilities for Director of Nursing (DON): Direct and oversee all nursing operations within the skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, and TBI programs. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and standards of care. Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain high-performing nursing staff. Promote a resident-centered culture focused on quality outcomes and exceptional customer service. Monitor and improve clinical quality measures, infection prevention initiatives, and risk management programs. Lead survey readiness efforts and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize resident care and operational performance. Manage staffing, scheduling, labor resources, and nursing department budgets. Foster professional growth and accountability among nursing leadership and frontline staff. Support the delivery of specialized care for residents with traumatic brain injuries and other complex clinical needs. Qualifications of Director of Nursing (DON): Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Minimum of 5 years of Director of Nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility required. Strong background in long-term care, post-acute care, subacute rehabilitation, and medically complex populations. Experience overseeing specialized programs, including Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) services, strongly preferred. Demonstrated success with survey management, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives. Experience leading large nursing teams and developing future clinical leaders. Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
