As a key member of our leadership team, the DON will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our nursing department, ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients, and promoting a positive and supportive work environment for our staff.
Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and direction to the nursing department, aligning with the facility's mission and goals. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient. Conduct regular rounds to assess the quality of care and identify areas for improvement. Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing nursing team, providing coaching and mentorship to support professional growth and development. Develop and manage budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources to achieve departmental goals. Foster a culture of open communication, collaboration, and respect among staff, patients, and families. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, OSHA, and CMS.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a skilled nursing setting. Current RN license in the state of New Jersey. Certification as a Director of Nursing (DON) or willingness to obtain within 12 months of hire.What We Offer:
