Job Description

Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) - RN Meadowbrook Respiratory & Nursing Center is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and motivated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who is passionate about clinical excellence, staff development, and providing exceptional care to our residents. As the ADON, you will work closely with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily nursing operations, ensure regulatory compliance, mentor nursing staff, and help drive quality outcomes throughout the facility. Responsibilities Assist the Director of Nursing with the daily management of the nursing department. Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff on all shifts. Conduct clinical rounds and follow up on resident concerns. Ensure compliance with CMS, New Jersey Department of Health, and facility policies. Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. Assist with survey readiness and regulatory compliance. Coach, educate, and mentor nursing staff. Participate in hiring, orientation, evaluations, and corrective action. Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to promote positive resident outcomes. Support infection prevention, admissions, and clinical operations. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and exceptional customer service. Qualifications Current New Jersey RN license in good standing. Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility. Supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and survey process. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Experience in subacute, respiratory, or ventilator care is a plus.
