  • Skilled Nursing Facility Batavia, NY RN or LPN | Part-Time | $60,000 We are seeking an experienced Director of MDS to lead the MDS program at a 60-bed skilled nursing facility in Batavia, NY.
This is a part-time leadership position with the potential to build a larger schedule. Candidates who are interested in additional hours may have the opportunity to work additional nursing shifts for additional compensation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced MDS professional who wants the flexibility of a part-time leadership role while still having the option to earn more and take on additional hours. The ideal candidate understands reimbursement, compliance, documentation, and the impact the MDS department has on the overall performance of a facility. Responsibilities Oversee the full MDS process and ensure all assessments are completed accurately and on time Ensure compliance with all state and federal MDS requirements Monitor CMI, reimbursement, and opportunities to improve documentation and capture Lead interdisciplinary care plan meetings Work closely with nursing, therapy, administration, and other department heads Identify and address documentation gaps that may impact reimbursement or compliance Track deadlines and maintain an organized, accurate MDS schedule Provide guidance and oversight to staff regarding MDS requirements and documentation Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives Take ownership of the overall performance and accuracy of the MDS department Qualifications Current New York State RN or LPN license Minimum of 2 years of MDS experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting Strong knowledge of MDS, PDPM, CMI, reimbursement, and regulatory requirements Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines Excellent communication and leadership skills Detail-oriented and accountable Compensation & Benefits $60,000 annually for the part-time Director of MDS role Opportunity for additional nursing hours and additional compensation Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance 401(k) Paid time off Paid holidays Continuing education support
