Director of Nursing Kirkhaven Rochester, NY Starting Salary:

$125,000+ based on experience Full-time Kirkhaven is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team at our 140-bed skilled nursing facility in Rochester, NY. Kirkhaven provides both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care, and we are looking for a strong clinical leader who is passionate about quality care, team development, regulatory compliance, and creating a positive, resident-centered environment. The Director of Nursing will oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, provide leadership to nursing staff, and ensure high-quality care is delivered in accordance with federal, state, and facility standards. Responsibilities The Director of Nursing will: Provide leadership, direction, and oversight for the nursing department Ensure high-quality, compassionate care for both short-term and long-term residents Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations Support survey readiness and quality assurance initiatives Supervise, mentor, and develop nursing leadership and frontline nursing staff Oversee staffing, scheduling, performance management, and department operations Collaborate with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to support facility goals Monitor clinical outcomes and implement improvement plans as needed Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and resident-centered care Support infection control, risk management, and care planning processes Qualifications Current New York State RN license required Prior nursing leadership experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or short-term rehabilitation required Previous Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and nursing home operations Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to build, support, and lead a strong clinical team Commitment to quality care, resident dignity, and staff development Compensation & Benefits Starting salary is $125,000 and up, based on experience .
