Director of Nursing (DON) Are you a strong clinical leader ready to make a meaningful impact? We are seeking an experienced and driven Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team and oversee the delivery of high-quality care in our skilled nursing facility in Dayton, Ohio. Position Summary The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall clinical management of the nursing department. This role ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations while promoting excellence in resident care, staff development, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and direction to the nursing team, including RNs, LPNs, and STNAs Ensure delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care Oversee staffing, scheduling, and clinical operations Maintain compliance with Ohio Department of Health and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services regulations Lead survey readiness efforts and manage state survey processes Develop and implement policies and procedures Monitor clinical outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care Manage budgets, resources, and departmental performance Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio (required) Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing leadership role (ADON/DON preferred) Strong knowledge of Ohio long-term care regulations and survey process Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems Ability to build and lead high-performing teams What We Offer Competitive salary and bonus opportunities Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision) Paid time off and holidays Professional growth and advancement opportunities Supportive leadership team and collaborative environment If you are a passionate nursing leader looking to take the next step in your career, we encourage you to apply and join a team committed to excellence in care.
