Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and people-focused Life Enrichment Director to lead a dedicated team at a free-standing memory care community in the Beachwood, Ohio area. This leadership role is ideal for someone who is passionate about serving individuals living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia while building a positive, accountable, and resident-centered culture. Although nursing experience is welcomed, an active nursing license is not required . We are looking for an exceptional leader with a strong background in memory care programming, operations, or management. What You'll Do Resident Care & Clinical Oversight Develop, implement, and oversee individualized care plans that promote dignity, independence, and quality of life. Monitor residents' physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being while collaborating with healthcare providers and interdisciplinary teams. Ensure compliance with state regulations and memory care best practices. Leadership & Team Development Recruit, hire, train, coach, schedule, and develop a high-performing memory care team. Foster a culture of accountability, compassion, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing education and mentorship. Lead by example through a hands-on leadership approach. Family Engagement Conduct regular care plan meetings with residents' families. Serve as the primary point of contact for questions, concerns, and resident updates. Build trusting relationships through compassionate communication and transparency. Memory Care Programming Design and oversee meaningful, person-centered activities that support residents' cognitive, emotional, physical, and social well-being. Ensure programming is engaging, purposeful, and tailored to each resident's individual abilities and interests. Continuously evaluate and improve programming to enhance resident outcomes. Operations & Administration Maintain accurate documentation, care plans, assessments, and regulatory records. Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure operational excellence and exceptional resident care. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and community leadership meetings. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Dementia, Alzheimer's, and Memory Care residents in a programming, leadership, management, or similar capacity. Previous experience leading, supervising, hiring, and developing staff. Experience in memory care, assisted living, or long-term care preferred. Knowledge of state regulations related to memory care communities. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and a hands-on leadership style. Bachelor's degree or nursing background (LPN/RN) is preferred but not required . Equivalent leadership experience will be considered. Why Join Us?
