DON:
The Director of Nursing will plan, organize, and oversee the daily operations of the Nursing Department. This includes maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, promoting positive patient outcomes, and fostering a culture of growth and collaboration among staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, implement, and direct nursing programs and activities to meet quality standards. Ensure compliance with regulations governing nursing care and facility operations. Lead, develop, and support the nursing team, including recruitment and training. Oversee staff performance evaluations, schedules, and assignments. Develop and maintain infection control and quality assurance programs. Collaborate with the Administrator and other departments to coordinate care. Provide education to staff on compliance, quality care, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
Active RN license in the state of Ohio (unencumbered). Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred). At least 2 years of supervisory experience in healthcare, with a focus on long-term care or SNF/LTC settings. Knowledge of reimbursement regulations, nursing practices, and nursing facility administration laws.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure. Critical thinking, problem-solving, and active listening skills. Commitment to providing exceptional care and building a positive team environment.
Schedule:
8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday , with on-call responsibilities.
