Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team and ensure the highest standards of resident care across our healthcare facilities. This pivotal role involves overseeing clinical operations, managing nursing staff, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Duties Provide strategic leadership and oversight of nursing services to ensure exceptional resident care aligned with organizational goals. Supervise and mentor nursing management staff, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on professional growth. Develop, review, and update comprehensive care plans tailored to each resident's needs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations including Medicare requirements. Oversee the management of medical records, documentation review, and ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize resident outcomes, utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems for accurate documentation. Monitor shift management to ensure adequate staffing levels while maintaining high-quality care delivery across all shifts. Lead quality assurance initiatives by reviewing medical records, conducting audits, and implementing improvements based on data analysis. Ensure compliance with healthcare laws and standards such as HIPAA, Medicare regulations, and state licensing requirements related to assisted living, nursing homes, home health, hospice care, and acute care services. Facilitate ongoing staff training on medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and best practices in nurse management. Manage budgets related to nursing operations while promoting efficient resource utilization. Qualifications Valid RN (Registered Nurse) license with current state licensure. Home health experience is strongly preferred. Familiar with EMR systems like AXXESS. Extensive experience in nursing administration within assisted living facilities or nursing homes; experience in home health or hospice care is highly desirable. Proven track record in nurse management with supervising experience in fast-paced healthcare environments. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and documentation review processes. Deep understanding of care planning processes aligned with Medicare standards and regulatory compliance requirements. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a culture of excellence in resident care. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and external regulatory agencies. Knowledge of shift management strategies to ensure continuous high-quality care delivery across all hours of operation.
