Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing Services to lead and oversee all nursing operations within our healthcare facility. This pivotal role requires a passionate leader who can ensure the delivery of exceptional resident care, maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, and foster a positive, collaborative environment for staff and residents alike. As the driving force behind nursing excellence, you will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, develop care strategies, and uphold the highest standards of clinical practice. Your energetic leadership will inspire continuous improvement, uphold resident satisfaction, and promote a culture of safety and compassion. Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership for all nursing departments home care Oversee the development, implementation, and review of individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Supervise nurse management staff and direct the recruitment, training, evaluation, and retention of nursing personnel. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, Medicare requirements, and state licensing standards. Monitor clinical documentation through EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to guarantee accuracy and completeness. Conduct regular reviews of medical records, documentation procedures, and care plan updates to ensure quality standards are met. Lead efforts in managing MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments to optimize resident care quality scores and reimbursement rates. Promote a culture of safety by overseeing shift management, infection control protocols, and emergency response procedures. Foster effective communication among interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident outcomes and satisfaction. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and healthcare best practices to guide clinical decision-making. Requirements Proven experience in nursing administration within healthcare environments. Extensive background in nurse management with supervising experience in fast-paced clinical settings. Strong understanding of Medicare regulations, MDS assessments, HIPAA compliance, and documentation review processes. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical records management. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage shift operations effectively. Knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to diverse patient populations across various care settings such as home health or hospice care. Excellent communication skills combined with a thorough understanding of medical terminology and healthcare documentation standards. Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments while maintaining a compassionate approach to resident care.
