Director of Nursing 3535 Kirby Parkway, Memphis, TN 38115 Full-time Full-time Overview Kirby Pines is seeking a dedicated RN and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in providing high-quality patient care in our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various healthcare settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, home health, hospice care, and acute care. This leadership role requires a commitment to excellence in nursing administration and the ability to foster a collaborative environment that prioritizes resident care. Duties Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and best practices. Develop, implement, and evaluate resident care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development and performance. Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage staffing schedules and shift management to ensure adequate coverage for patient care needs. Conduct regular reviews of documentation for quality assurance and improvement. Maintain knowledge of current medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and Medicare regulations to support effective care delivery. Utilize EMR and EHR systems for efficient patient management and data tracking. Lead initiatives to improve patient outcomes through evidence-based practices. Skills Must have proven experience as a Director of Nursing Proven experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, home health, hospice care, or acute care environments. Strong management skills with a focus on nurse management and supervising experience. In-depth knowledge of MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments and care plan development. Excellent leadership abilities with a commitment to fostering teamwork among staff members. Proficient understanding of medical records management and documentation review processes. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and compliance standards within healthcare settings. Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. Strong analytical skills to assess situations critically and make informed decisions regarding patient care.
