Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing to join our healthcare team. In this vital leadership role, you will support the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily nursing operations within a vibrant assisted living or nursing home environment. Your expertise will ensure the delivery of exceptional resident care, compliance with healthcare regulations, and the smooth functioning of clinical services. You will serve as a key leader, supervising nursing staff, managing care plans, and fostering a positive, resident-centered atmosphere that promotes dignity and quality of life for all residents. Responsibilities Assist in managing daily nursing operations, ensuring high standards of resident care and staff performance Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including nurse managers and direct care providers, to promote professional growth and accountability Oversee the development, implementation, and review of personalized care plans tailored to each resident's needs Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, Medicare requirements, and state-specific licensing standards Review medical records, documentation, and electronic health records (EHR) systems to maintain accuracy and confidentiality Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate resident assessments, discharge planning, and transitions between care levels such as home health or hospice care Monitor shift management to ensure adequate staffing coverage while maintaining quality care delivery Support the administration of MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments to optimize reimbursement and regulatory compliance Lead efforts in documentation review and quality assurance initiatives to uphold best practices in nursing administration Foster a culture of leadership, teamwork, and continuous improvement among staff members Qualifications Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home settings with a strong background in nursing administration and supervision Demonstrated knowledge of acute care practices, hospice care protocols, home health services, and medical terminology Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) management tools Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy relevant to elderly or chronically ill populations Previous supervisory or nurse management experience with excellent leadership skills Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical record confidentiality standards Ability to review documentation accurately and ensure compliance with Medicare guidelines Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with residents, families, staff, and regulatory bodies Management skills that include shift management, resource allocation, and conflict resolution Join us in making a meaningful difference by leading compassionate nursing care that enhances residents' lives. Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
