The Administrator may also be the Alternate Director of Nursing if the Director of Nursing meets the qualifications of an Administrator. Prolonged sitting is required. Requires ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner at all times. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and agency needs. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with all segments of the staff, the lay and professional public, The Board of Directors, Advisory Board, and Medical Director. Alternate Administrator is a licensed physician, a registered nurse, licensed social worker, licensed therapist, or licensed nursing home administrator; with training and experience in health service administration; or at least one(1) year of administrative or supervisory experience in home health care or related health program (hospital, nursing facility, or hospice, etc.); or Have at least a high school diploma or a general equivalency degree (GED); with at least 2 yrs. of management or supervisory experience in a health related setting. A health related setting may include a home and community support services agency, nursing facility, hospice, outpatient rehab center, psychiatric facility, intermediate care facility for persons with mental or related conditions, or a licensed health care delivery setting providing services for individuals with functional disabilities.
