Job Description

Pampa Nursing Center is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team and drive excellence in resident care. This is an opportunity for a strong clinical leader to make a meaningful impact in a supportive, team-oriented environment. Position Summary The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and direction of the nursing department. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and operational efficiency within the facility. Key Responsibilities Oversee all nursing operations, including staffing, scheduling, and clinical oversight Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Lead quality improvement initiatives and drive positive clinical outcomes Mentor, coach, and develop nursing staff to build a strong, accountable culture Collaborate with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team on facility goals Monitor clinical systems including infection control, wound care, and medication management Ensure accurate and timely documentation and reporting Support survey readiness and maintain a survey-ready environment at all times Qualifications Active RN license in the state of Texas Minimum 3-5 years of nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and survey process Proven ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and improve clinical outcomes Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills What We Offer Competitive salary and performance-based incentives Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision) Paid time off and holidays Opportunity to lead and shape clinical operations Supportive leadership team and growth potential Why Pampa Nursing Center?
