Nursing Full Job Description Responsibilities:
The Skilled Nursing Facility Director of Nursing (Director) is responsible for managing the operations of the skilled nursing facility. Collaborating with the AVP, the Director is responsible and accountable for initiating and guiding the delivery of safe, patient centered, quality services as provided by the staff. Knowledge of a patient centered care model, HHSC State regulations, Infection Control, OSHA Safety, staffing, maintenance standards and operations budgeting. Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to elevate staff training as well as learn new systems. Flexibility to assist with
LTC QIPP
Program and component metrics.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION
Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Bachelor Degree preferred or equivalent experience, education and training.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
5 years minimum nursing home or skilled nursing facility experience required in a management position or higher.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse. Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association; Advance Cardiac Life Support certification required within 6 months of hire.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
Proficient with TULIP, PB&J, NHSN, Sam's, iQIES and MDS. Knowledgeable in CMS regulations and the PDPM for SNF. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Demonstrates ability to resolve complex issues through utilization of appropriate communication techniques.
