Benefits may vary based upon position type and/or level. Job Summary As a Director of Nursing, you will plan, manage, and coordinate nursing practices at Baylor Scott and White Health. You may oversee settings like hospitals, clinics, and other care facilities. Your responsibilities could include patient care services like emergency medicine, cardiology, and pharmacy. You will oversee nursing units' goals and operations, including creating protocols, policies, and patient care models. You'll also manage quality improvement projects. Monitoring efficiency, care standards, and patient service will be your focus to meet Baylor Scott and White Health's goals. Essential Functions of the Role You will manage nursing services within your assigned area of responsibility at our health facility. You will assist in creating strategic nursing plans that help our health facility's business goals. Your supervision will monitor daily productivity, address deviations from standards, and adjust as necessary for efficiency. You'll play a key role in setting, monitoring, reviewing, and reporting on quality improvement goals for each unit. You will investigate adverse events. Review data collected, examine trends, explore ways to improve performance. Partnering with other departments is crucial in improving patient care and satisfaction as you develop procedures. Your role will also involve periodic clinical rounds to know patient needs and communication of your findings. You are accountable for following legal, regulatory, licensing, and accrediting rules within your clinical area. You will help create tools to monitor service delivery and identify areas for improvement and education. Key Success Factors Collaborating with different departments and clinical areas at a large healthcare organization is valuable. •(3) Three Years of ExperienceCERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION
