Summary:

The Director of Nursing (DON) is a management level nursing position that maintains direct contact with patients and integration with patient care Will be responsible for the orientation and continuing education of the nursing staff Maintains an ongoing quality assurance program Assists in planning the nursing services portion of resident discharge plans Serves on and participates in care-related committees as needed Lead others through actions consistent with and serve our culture Participates in facility surveys by government agencies

Qualifications:

Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility 1 year of Director of Nursing (DON)/ Management experience Current RN license in the State of Texas Service-oriented (positive, enthusiastic, empathetic and respectful demeanor) Able to handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner Capable of organizing tasks and managing multiple priorities
