We're hiring a Director of Learning and Development to build consistency in how we onboard, train, and validate competency across our facilities-especially in nursing leadership roles. This position is based in our corporate office in Provo, Utah and requires regular on-site work in our facilities (up to 75% travel). Under the direction of HR and Clinical leadership, the focus of this role is to set clear expectations, drive completion, and ensure training is implemented, sustained, and consistently used across the organization. What You'll Do Corporate role supporting multiple states and facility teams under HR and Clinical leadership Partner with HR, Clinical, and Operations to execute orientation, training, and competency initiatives Standardize and validate competencies for Directors of Nursing, nursing leadership, and key roles across operations and HR Build and maintain practical training tools, competency checklists, orientation resources, and job aids used in the field Drive new-hire orientation and policy compliance across facilities Drive training completion and documentation; track progress and follow through to resolution Coordinate new-hire orientation, required education, and policy implementation across facilities Review compliance and training data to identify gaps and resolve issues Reinforce leadership accountability, communication, and follow-through Communicate clearly on timelines, risks, and outcomes while reinforcing leadership accountability and follow-through Monitor compliance data, identify breakdowns, and escalate issues through resolution Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required Bachelor's degree required; MSN preferred Director of Nursing (DON) experience in a skilled nursing setting preferred Experience developing and executing training and development programs Demonstrated ability to drive accountability, track outcomes, and follow-through on initiatives What Success Looks Like Training and competency programs are implemented, actively used, and auditable Orientation processes are consistently executed across facilities Gaps are identified early and corrected quickly Leadership receives regular, clear reporting and follow-through Measurable improvement in compliance, consistency, and early-tenure retention Ownership is demonstrated through accountability-not by redefining priorities or scope Why Cascades Healthcare At Cascades, we operate with clear expectations, strong accountability, and disciplined execution.
