Director of Nursing (DON/DNS) - Skilled Nursing Facility Richmond, VA $190,000 - $220,000 depending on experience + bonus We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with strong leadership skills to join a leading provider of Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, and Long-Term Care as a Director of Nursing (DON) . This role has overall responsibility for the clinical management and quality of resident care within a large skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Richmond,VA . The organization operates 60+ facilities across 4 states and offers exceptional stability within the LTC market through ownership of its buildings, ancillary services, and direct operational oversight. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage all nursing and clinical services within the facility Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal healthcare regulations Partner closely with the Licensed Administrator to deliver care aligned with company policies Recruit, train, mentor, and develop nursing and care staff Develop and support nurses to enhance clinical expertise and care quality Communicate and implement Health Department directives effectively across the team Maintain high standards of resident-centered care and clinical excellence Required Qualifications & Experience Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state of Virginia (or compact license) Extensive knowledge of regulatory standards in skilled nursing and long-term care Strong understanding of adult and geriatric developmental needs Demonstrated experience caring for residents with: Therapeutic needs Neurological and dementia-related conditions Dialysis IV therapy Infectious disease management Wound care Proven leadership ability within a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting Why Join This Organization?
