Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance nursing practices and improve patient outcomes. Oversee budgeting processes for nursing departments, ensuring efficient allocation of resources while maintaining quality standards. Lead and manage nursing staff through effective personnel management, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and professional development. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and safety protocols across all nursing operations. Provide instructional leadership by mentoring nursing staff and promoting best practices in clinical care and patient safety. Collaborate with hospital or healthcare administration to align nursing services with organizational goals and initiatives. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning among staff members. Utilize management skills to optimize workflow processes and improve operational efficiency within the nursing department. Requirements Proven experience in healthcare administration or management within a clinical or hospital setting. Strong background in nursing practice with current licensure as a registered nurse (RN). Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, budgeting, and resource management. Prior experience as a school administrative director or in education administration is considered a valuable asset. Extensive team management experience with the ability to lead diverse groups effectively. Knowledge of instructional leadership principles applicable to clinical education and staff development. Experience working within university or academic health environments is preferred. Excellent leadership skills combined with strong communication abilities to engage staff and stakeholders effectively.
