Director of Nursing Job Summary The Director of Nursing (DON) is a vital leadership role responsible for overseeing the nursing department within a skilled nursing facility. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality resident care, maintains compliance with healthcare regulations, and manages nursing staff effectively. The DON plays a key role in fostering a safe, compassionate, and efficient environment for residents and staff alike. Responsibilities Lead and manage the nursing team to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care aligned with facility standards and regulatory requirements. Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures to promote best practices in nursing care. Oversee daily operations within the nursing department, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local healthcare regulations governing skilled nursing facilities. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care plans for residents. Conduct regular staff evaluations, provide mentorship, and promote ongoing professional development. Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to resident care, staff performance, and regulatory audits. Address resident concerns promptly to uphold high standards of safety and satisfaction. Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve care quality. Requirements Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license is required. Proven experience working in skilled nursing facilities is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of healthcare professionals. Excellent knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards relevant to skilled nursing facilities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with staff, residents, and families. Pay:

$115,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
