Summary:
The Director of Nursing is responsible for providing the overall leadership and structure of the nursing department and nursing staff. This position will support the leadership and management structure of the organization by ensuring the delivery of safe and effective nursing care and clinical services.
Requirements:
Minimum three to five years of progressive supervisory experience in the behavioral healthcare, substance abuse, detoxification program, or general hospital setting. One year of experience must be in a supervisory or administrative capacity. Graduate from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's level degree (BSN) in nursing required, Master's degree preferred. Knowledge of addiction and its effects. Knowledge of 12 Step programs. Must possess a valid license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Washington. Must possess CPR certification. Experience and understanding of accreditation process. Responsibilities Oversee and manage the facility
  • Detox/Residential Inpatient Beds Ensuring the delivery of safe and effective nursing care and clinical services On Call 24/7 Responsible for planning, implementing, and managing all aspects of the Medical Department Arrange Supply Contracts/Vendors Assist with license/accreditation with regulatory bodies DCF, JCAHO, Pharmacy/DEA and DOH Interviewing and hiring Medical staff(Nurses and Providers) Medical staff orientation, trainings, and staff development Medical (Nurses and Providers) staff scheduling, managing, and payroll Facilitate compliance with Quality Assurance/ Performance Improvement standards Daily live and monthly chart audits Manage onsite Pharmacy in conjunction with Pharmacy Consultant Meet with multi-disciplinary leaders daily to report any facility or client concerns/problems Weekly supply/medication inventories and ordering Review and sign off on all Admissions Review labs and report to providers Facilitate Patient Education Group Schedule and Materials Infection Control Practitioner CLIA Manager Assist with changing and writing new Policies and Procedures Reporting all staff and patient COVID testing Participate in biweekly Leadership meetings and trainings Participate in monthly Performance Improvement meetings
