Skilled Nursing Facility (100 Beds) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Interim Director of Nursing (DON) to provide immediate leadership for a 100-bed skilled nursing facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a seasoned nursing professional with a proven track record of regulatory compliance, survey success, and operational excellence. The Interim DON will lead the nursing department during a leadership transition, prepare the facility for a successful survey revisit, and mentor the newly appointed Director of Nursing to ensure a smooth and sustainable transition. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of the nursing department. Guide the facility through a successful state survey revisit. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain high standards of resident care and clinical quality. Mentor, coach, and train the incoming Director of Nursing. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to improve clinical outcomes and operational performance. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices. Foster a positive, accountable, and resident-centered culture. Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Wisconsin or compact license preferred). Previous experience as a Director of Nursing in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting. Demonstrated success leading facilities through state surveys and survey revisits. Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and long-term care compliance. Proven leadership, communication, and team development skills. Ability to quickly assess operations, stabilize clinical services, and implement effective solutions. Available to start immediately. Preferred Experience Interim leadership experience.
