Essential Job Functions :
Administrative Attend several committee meetings (i.e. Infection Control, Quality Assurance, Care Management, Admission and Discharge, Leadership Team, Triple-Check) Responsible for daily oversight and validation of MDS Coordinator's assessments. Responsible for training, supervising, evaluating, and disciplining MDS Coordinator. Conducts and oversees assessments required by MDS/CAA process per State/Federal Regulations. Responsible for following universal precautions and all required control procedures. Responsible for determining required quarterly, annual, significant change, Medicare (PDPM) assessments for the MDS per State regulations. Completes restraint reduction and falls assessments and quarterly evaluation of appropriateness or need for devices/restraints.
Nursing:
Completes weekly Resident Staffing (Care Planning) and MDS assessments Oversees completion of MDs via all departments Carries Triggers/CAA to care plans. Audits resident charts to ensure competent and total care for all residents with clear documentation.
