Summary:
The Director of Respiratory Therapy - Pediatrics provides strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for respiratory care services across the pediatric continuum, including NICU, CVICU, PICU, ED, and inpatient units. This role is accountable for ensuring care delivery aligns with organizational priorities, regulatory standards, and a culture of safety and excellence. Responsibilities:
Ensures appropriate staffing models, scheduling, and productivity management.

Partners with Infection Prevention and clinical leadership to develop, implement, and monitor respiratory care practices that reduce healthcare-associated infections (HAIs), including ventilator-associated events (VAE/VAP).Partners with physician and leadership to enhance clinical outcomes, quality metrics, and patient experience. Leverage data analytics to monitor, trend, and improve clinical, operational, and workforce outcomes across respiratory servicesChampions evidence-based practice and standardization of care across the respiratory therapy continuum. Ensures delivery of evidence-based respiratory care across all settings (ICU, ED, NICU, Inpatient, Outpatient). Standardized clinical protocols (e.g., Ventilator Management, Bronchodilator Therapy and Oxygen Therapy). Monitors clinical outcomes and drives quality improvement initiatives.

Directs and oversees daily operations of Respiratory Care Services (RC). Develops departmental goals aligned with organizational strategies.

Utilizes rounding, real-time feedback, and patient/family insights to identify opportunities and drive service recovery.
