Day Shift Description:
The Manager of Therapy Services at MacNeal Hospital facilitates, promotes and models a leadership philosophy and style consistent with Loyola University Health System. They work with the department director to define and implement the vision, mission, and strategic plan for integrated rehabilitation services. They understand and integrate into the delivery of care at MacNeal Hospital the needs of patients requiring physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, and other rehabilitative services. They work with department director to expand existing programs or design new service initiatives to meet the changing needs of the patient population served. The Manager of Therapy actively supports and embodies continuous quality improvement and exemplary customer relations. They are responsible for staff management in all programs and sites and provides a work environment conducive to attaining department goals.Position responsibilities:
Operations:
Oversees program implementation to assure defined outcomes. Assures high quality, efficient and timely patient care. Approves policies and procedures for all areas of responsibility. Assures timely and complete patient registration and billing.Planning and development:
Develops with the support of the program director the strategic plan for Rehabilitation Services on an annual basis. Assumes responsibility for the subsequent business planning and implementation of this plan. Accountable for the achievement of strategic outcomes of the plan.Personnel Management:
Assures appropriate hiring, discipline and discharge of subordinate personnel. Assures timely and even-handed performance evaluations. Assures appropriate orientation and training, including discipline-specific competency.Communications:
Fosters relationships across disciplines, functions, and program areas within Rehabilitation Services. Facilitates collaborative partnerships with physicians. Fosters relationships within the Loyola University Health System Represents Rehabilitation Services in a variety of hospital, network and or community teams, task forces, and/or committees.Quality Assurance, Monitoring, and Reporting:
Develop strategic plan for quality assurance/improvement initiatives appropriate to each program area. Develops and monitors benchmarking activities. Financial Management. Develops and administers a departmental budget which provides for the attainment of approved goals. Creates budgets for all new programs. Coordinates capital budget requests, allocations, expenditures and acquisitions.Training and Compliance:
Accountable for meeting relevant regulation requirements throughout Rehabilitation Services. Keeps current and facilitates staff education and growth related to trends in rehabilitation services.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Language. Master's degree preferred. 6-10 years of previous job-related experience. 3+ years of experience in acute care/outpatient hospital setting with increased responsibilities and performance. 3-5 years of managerial experience.Licensure/Certifications required:
Licensed Physical Therapist OR Licensed/Certficate of Clinical Competency in Speech Language Pathology (SLP/CCC)OR Licensed/Registered Occupational Therapist Compensation:
Pay range: $96,782- $159,702 Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.Benefits:
