Weekdays Seneca Health Care Center is looking to add an Assistant Director of Rehabilitation
  • Physical Therapist to its leadership team.
In this role, you'll support rehabilitation services across the organization by providing staff education, ensuring regulatory compliance, promoting quality improvement initiatives, and supporting therapy teams in delivering exceptional resident outcomes. RESPONSIBILITIES
Support rehabilitation departments through staff education, quality monitoring, and regulatory compliance initiatives Participate in mock surveys, state surveys, and corrective action planning activities Review therapy competencies, policies, procedures, and documentation practices while providing staff education as needed Conduct in-services, continuing education programs, and departmental training activities Assist with the development and implementation of rehabilitation policies and procedures Monitor productivity, quality indicators, and departmental performance metrics Collaborate with nursing, rehabilitation, and interdisciplinary teams to support resident outcomes and safe discharges Educate staff on care planning, rehabilitation techniques, adaptive equipment, and therapy-related best practices Maintain knowledge of CMS, NYSDOH, and long-term care regulations Travel to company facilities as needed and perform additional duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program Valid New York State PT License required Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a therapist in a skilled nursing facility required Education, training, or management experience preferred Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations, survey processes, and rehabilitation services Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and organizational skills Ability to travel between company facilities as needed Commitment to quality improvement, staff development, and resident-centered care
