Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist who is passionate about supporting fellow clinicians, building strong relationships with school districts, and shaping the future of pediatric therapy services? Blue Sea Educational Consulting is seeking a dynamic and collaborative Director of Occupational Services to lead and support our growing OT and PT departments across Long Island. This is a unique opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with leadership, mentorship, and program development in a role that directly impacts both providers and the students they serve. As a key member of our leadership team, you will oversee clinical quality, support therapist development, strengthen district partnerships, and help drive the continued growth of our therapy programs across educational settings. What You'll Do Clinical Leadership & Provider Support Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and ongoing support to Occupational Therapists and COTAs Review evaluations, treatment plans, progress reports, and IEP-related documentation as needed Serve as a clinical resource for providers by offering guidance, case consultation, and best practice recommendations Support the onboarding, training, and professional development of new therapy staff Foster a collaborative and supportive culture among our therapy team Department Growth & Relationship Management Partner with leadership and recruiting teams to support ongoing hiring efforts and departmental growth Build and maintain strong relationships with school districts, administrators, and community partners Network with Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and educational professionals throughout Long Island Serve as a liaison between therapists, school personnel, families, and internal teams as needed Program Oversight & Operations Oversee OT service delivery across assigned school districts and educational programs Collaborate with staffing, operations, and leadership teams to ensure appropriate caseload coverage and service continuity Monitor service quality, compliance standards, documentation timelines, and program outcomes Ensure services align with IDEA regulations, state requirements, and district expectations Assist with program development, workflow optimization, and implementation of operational best practices and SOPs Qualifications New York State Licensed Occupational Therapist Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist Previous supervisory, leadership, or management experience preferred Experience working in pediatric and/or school-based settings required Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills Passion for mentorship, collaboration, and program development Location Requirements Candidates must reside on Long Island and be available to work on-site in our Smithtown office.
