Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Rehabilitation to lead our rehabilitation department. This pivotal role involves overseeing the clinical and administrative functions of the rehabilitation services, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in healthcare management, fiscal management, and supervising experience. Experience in skilled nursing preferred. Duties Oversee daily operations of the rehabilitation department, ensuring efficient service delivery and adherence to best practices. Manage fiscal responsibilities including budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation to optimize departmental performance. Supervise and mentor staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and development. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient records. Collaborate with other departments to enhance patient care through effective utilization management and interdisciplinary communication. Implement and maintain Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting. Develop policies and procedures that align with industry standards and regulatory requirements through CMS and ODH. Monitor quality assurance metrics to ensure high standards of care are consistently met. Stay updated on advancements in rehabilitation practices, integrating new techniques into service delivery as appropriate. Experience Proven experience in healthcare management. Strong supervisory experience with a focus on team leadership within a clinical setting. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as PointClickCare and Net Health is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare regulations is crucial. Experience in acute care or critical care environments is highly desirable. Current Ohio PTA or COTA License required.
