Job Description

Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) - In-House Rehab Team Aventura at Oakwood Village Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care | In-House Therapy Program Aventura at Oakwood Village is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Rehabilitation to lead our in-house therapy team . The ideal candidate is a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) with proven leadership ability and a passion for delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. As the Director of Rehab , you will oversee the daily operations of our in-house rehabilitation department , support therapy staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical outcomes for our residents. This leadership role focuses on collaboration with nursing and interdisciplinary teams, staff development, regulatory compliance, and maintaining a strong culture of compassionate care. Responsibilities Manage and oversee daily operations of the in-house rehabilitation department Supervise and support PT, PTA, OT, COTA, and SLP therapy staff Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility policies and regulations Coordinate resident care plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams Maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and clinical staff Monitor therapy documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance Participate in program development, quality improvement, and clinical outcomes initiatives Qualifications Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the State of Ohio (required) Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Commitment to ethical practice, resident advocacy, and team leadership What We Offer Competitive salary and performance incentives Comprehensive benefits package Supportive and collaborative in-house rehab team environment Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement Equal Opportunity Employer Aventura at Oakwood Village is an Equal Opportunity Employer and welcomes all qualified applicants.
