DOR Harmony Care at Giddings 1181 North Williamson Street, Giddings, TX 78942 Full-time Full-time Job Summary The Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) is responsible for the overall leadership and daily operations of the rehabilitation department. This role oversees therapy services, supervises rehabilitation staff, ensures compliance with regulatory standards, and works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality resident care while achieving clinical and operational goals. Responsibilities Direct and oversee daily rehabilitation department operations. Supervise, mentor, and support physical, occupational, and speech therapy staff. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations. Coordinate resident evaluations, treatment plans, and therapy schedules. Monitor clinical outcomes and documentation for accuracy and compliance. Manage department productivity, staffing, scheduling, and budgeting. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized care plans. Participate in care conferences and quality improvement initiatives. Ensure timely and accurate completion of required documentation. Promote excellent customer service for residents, families, and staff. Qualifications Current Texas license as a Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred. Prior leadership or Director of Rehabilitation experience preferred. Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, rehabilitation regulations, and documentation requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
