Sr Director, Rehab Services, IMVH Inova Health System United States, Virginia, Alexandria Jul 12, 2026 The Senior Director, Rehab Services directs the operation of assigned outpatient clinical programs/inpatient rehab therapy and rehab nursing. Leads and coordinates key strategic development and functional services to support program objectives and organizational goals. Maintains effective and responsive relationships with patients, attending medical staff, and other departments.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversees assigned department or functional area to ensure it is performing effectively, which may include but not limited to, preparing and implementing business strategy to achieve the organization's goals, ensuring legal compliance, communicating and collaborating with stakeholders, managing employment decisions and contributions of supporting team members, and managing departmental budget and fiscal success. Assures the programs meet business and market plan objectives. Organizes, monitors and coordinates all QA and QI activities; Coordinates program evaluation efforts through the systematic measurement and analysis of clinical outcomes, financial performances, quality indicators, stakeholder satisfaction and market forces and trends. In conjunction with the Medical Director and other key clinical staff members, takes lead role in clinical program development; In collaboration with the Medical Director, determines appropriateness of admission in accordance with program guidelines. Ensures that the programs are in full compliance with accrediting and regulatory agency standards; Responds promptly to requests from other departments within the operating unit, and maintains cooperative relationship with corresponding department(s) at other operating units. Maintains regular communication with both senior management at the operating unit and service line and the medical director to apprise them of the status of the program, discuss program functioning and review anticipated programmatic needs. Facilitates communication throughout all levels of the organization regarding programmatic issues. Represents the program to interested parties outside the operating unit, including clinical service providers, physicians, third party payers, and members of the local business community, representatives, employees and other interested parties. Ensures adherence to Service Excellence standards and provision of the outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.
Minimum Requirements:
5 years related professional experience 2 years management experience Bachelor's Degree in related field
