Job Description
- Job Summary
- The Electrophysiology Technician (EP Tech) supports electrophysiology and cardiac procedures, providing technical expertise and assistance to the Electrophysiologist and Cardiology team.
- Essential Functions
- + Assists the Electrophysiologist and Cardiology team during electrophysiology procedures, performing scrub, hemodynamic monitoring, and circulating duties.
- and post-procedural patient care, including assessments and instruction to ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Qualifications
- + Technical School certification from an accredited program in Health Science, Electrophysiology, Cardiovascular Technology, or related field required or + Associate Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Nursing, or related field required + 0-2 years of experience in an electrophysiology or cardiac catheterization lab required
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- + Proficient in electrophysiology procedures, hemodynamic monitoring, and ACLS protocols.
- Licenses and Certifications
- + BCLS
- Basic Life Support required and + ACLS
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support required + RCES
- Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist preferred or + RCVT
