Treadmill and EKG Technician Pioneer Cardiovascular Consultants - 2.0 Tempe, AZ Job Details Full-time $25 - $29 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications CPR Certification BLS Certification HIPAA High school diploma or GED Attention to detail Full Job Description Cardiac Treadmill & EKG TechnicianPosition Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Cardiac Treadmill & EKG Technician to join our healthcare team. This position is responsible for performing electrocardiograms (EKGs), cardiac stress testing, Holter monitor placement, and assisting providers with diagnostic cardiac procedures while ensuring excellent patient care and safety. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform and accurately document 12-lead EKGs Prepare patients for treadmill stress testing and monitor patients during procedures Apply and remove Holter and event monitors with patient education on proper use Obtain and record vital signs and patient cardiac histories as needed Recognize and promptly report abnormal cardiac rhythms or patient symptoms to the provider Ensure all cardiac equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, and calibrated Accurately enter test results and patient information into the electronic medical record (EMR) Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations Provide professional, compassionate, and courteous patient care Assist providers and clinical staff with additional patient care duties as needed Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Completion of EKG Technician program preferred Previous experience in cardiology, cardiac diagnostics, or a clinical setting preferred Current BLS/CPR certification required Knowledge of cardiac rhythms and stress testing procedures preferred Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced situations Dependable attendance and punctuality required Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to assist patients safely during treadmill testing Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
Pay:
$25.00 - $29.00 per hour
