The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in cardiovascular technology, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation, with a focus on performing high-quality electrocardiogram procedures. As an ECG Technician, you will play a vital role in capturing accurate cardiac data that informs diagnosis and treatment plans. This position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic clinical environment, supporting patient care through precise diagnostic testing and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities Perform electrocardiogram procedures with precision, ensuring high-quality recordings for accurate cardiac rhythm analysis and diagnostics. Prepare patients for testing by explaining procedures, positioning them correctly, and ensuring comfort throughout the process. Operate and maintain advanced medical equipment such as cardiac stress testing systems, vascular ultrasound imaging devices, and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS). Assist in the assessment of vital signs and monitor patient responses during diagnostic evaluations, including echocardiography and interventional radiology procedures. Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with cardiologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate comprehensive cardiovascular assessments. Document test results accurately within electronic health records, ensuring clarity for subsequent analysis and review. Support the preparation of patients for invasive procedures such as cardiac catheterization or interventional cardiology interventions when necessary. Experience Prior experience working in a cath lab or Level I/II trauma center setting is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of cardiology practices including telemetry monitoring, cardiac diagnostics, and interventional radiology procedures. Familiarity with anatomy knowledge related to cardiovascular structures and physiology is essential. Experience operating diagnostic equipment such as sonography devices used in vascular ultrasound imaging or echocardiography is preferred. Proven ability to perform cardiac stress tests and analyze cardiac rhythms accurately. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to cardiovascular technology and emergency medicine protocols is required. Previous exposure to picture archiving systems (PACS) for image management enhances efficiency in diagnostic evaluation processes.
