We consist of a team of professionals ranging from Medical Assistants to Physician Assistants and everything in between. Our physician led medical group enjoys an excellent reputation with patients and the medical community, offering primary care, urgent care and more than 30 different specialties. Job Description Conducts vascular ultrasound exam of outpatients. Obtains patient history and performs clinical assessments and and diagnostic Lab examinations of carotid, peripheral arterial, venous, and visceral studies, as well as endovenous laser (EVLA) procedures. Maintains exceptional patient care. Responds to patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process. Analyzes, interprets, and records data obtained from test results. Conducts follow-up studies as required. Records information from tests and analyzes using diagnostic criteria. Completes all paperwork and reports for each study and/or procedure. Maintains equipment to ensure operational effectiveness. Participates in Quality Assurance process. Provides support for maintaining ICAVL accreditation. Responds to physician questions and clinical needs regarding patient exams/ procedures Ensures a clean, stocked, well-equipped work area. Performs other duties as required in support of the lab. Position requires knowledge of all areas of vascular scanning including bypass grafts, stents, stent grafts, dialysis access fistulas and grafts, and endovenous laser procedures. This position requires travel between the central, Hartford, and east regions as needed for coverage. Qualifications Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Graduation from high school or equivalent preferred Associate's or Bachelor's degree desirable Minimum of 2 years- experience as a Registered Vascular Technologist preferred. Knowledge of the ICAVL certification process helpful. Positive, customer-focused approach, with commitment to providing excellent patient care. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
